SPME Technique for Analysis of 2-Acetyl Pyrroline from Fragrance Rice

We have conducted application training using SPME for volatile organic fragrances in rice typically analyzing "pandan leaf-like" 2-acetyl pyrroline in MARDI, with Agilent 7890A GC. QuEChERS Method Implementation in Chemsil Laboratory

Chemsil lab is one of our customer that we implemented the QuEChERS method to their Agilent GCMS system. The analysis is able to screen most of the pesticides in Pesticide Library supplied by Agilent, using deconvolution software and AMDIS. SIM/Scan operation mode is used to quantify identified pesticides down to 10ppb level.

GC Column for Complete Separation of PAHs

GSTek Column is strongly emerging in the chromatography field where you could find almost all equivalent phases used by you with lowest column bleeding. Example here showed separation of 16 PAHs with GsBP5MS column. Noted that there were baseline resolved for some critical pairs toward the end of chromatogram.

Fast Trans Fat Analysis with MEGA-10 Column

Get the proprietary stationary phase with 100% cyanopropyl substituted polydimethylsiloxane. The 100m column of MEGA-10 out-performed any other columns stated in AOCS method (88% cyanopropyl). Cyanopropyl bonding exibited steric hindrance properties which retained more to cis than trans isomers. The analysis time is cut short to about 25 mins with H2 carrier gas. Melamine Analysis with GCMS

Melamine contamination and adulteration alarming the food authorities to monitor raw and processed foods. The reoccurance after 2008's scares on China's milk products might be possible. For commercial and testing labs having difficulty to invest in LCMSMS which is the official method from US FDA, the existing GCMS is another confirmation tool used to analyze melamine in foods. In order to increase the confirmation on the single MS instrument, sample preparation with good cleaning procedure is a must. SPE (solid phase extraction) is an economical alternative in cleaning process. This enhanced even the detection limits on melamine as compared to the US FDA's GCMS methodology.
